Consultant fees: from January 2022

Standard fees are below and apply to all patients. If your medical insurance provider caps fees, you may be required to pay the difference, unless prior agreement has been reached by your provider.

Outpatient fees:

Initial assessment consultation: £450 per hour

Follow-up consultation including liaison/telephone work:

  •  30 mins follow-up – £240
  •  45 mins follow-up – £340
  •  60 mins follow-up – £450

N.B. I will discuss with you in advance the length of time for your follow-up consultations. 30 mins is the usual minimum follow up and this can be weekly, monthly or less frequently. For those on medication, but stable, three to six monthly reviews are the minimum.

Additional reports: £450 per hour, for example for medico-legal reports or income protection insurance reports. I will let you know full costs prior to undertaking any work.

Fees: All are payable within 14 days of invoice. If self paying, payment is preferred by bank transfer – details will be provided by invoice.

Cancellations: Cancellations and alterations to appointment times require 48 hours notice otherwise the full fee will be charged.

Please note:  It is your responsibility to be aware of your funding status and to keep us informed regarding your funding situation. Please keep in contact with your insurance company as appropriate. In case of any shortfall in your insurance allowance, fees will be charged to you as above.

Inpatient (if admitted to hospital) and day-patient fees:

In addition to fees paid to the hospital, there is a consultant fee of £75 per day for inpatient or day-patient treatment by consultants at Nightingale Hospital for each day that reviews occur by me, which will be a minimum of 3 per week.
